Marbert began his professional career as a youth in Central Texas working in general contracting of heavy construction projects throughout the state. His diverse experience includes municipal water tanks, highway bridge construction, water/sewer line jobs and specialty commercial buildings and facilities.
Upon graduation from Texas A&M University he started learning high-tech skills in Silicon Valley as a Test Engineer for a semiconductor capital equipment manufacturer. He began his design career as an electro-mechanical engineer (systems engineer) after being transferred to research & devlopment to design a CVD dielectric tool for Novellus Systems’ new C2 Cluster Tool.
Through the years, many opportunities presented themselves to perform design & development work in several different industries, including but not limited to: aerospace, flat panel displays, oil & gas, telecom, medical instruments, the U.S. Department of Defense, dental and consumer products. For the past 5 years Marbert has been listed with ABB as an official integrator.
Marbert is the owner of Willow Street Design, a new product design and development company focused on electro-mechanical systems. Through Willow Street Design, Marbert provides his customers with solutions to immediate issues as well as long term planning and development of products and manufacturing facilities.
